Ani Yessaillian: founder and principal

As principal and founder of Excella, Ani is frequently called upon by her clients to develop strategies and programs that increase sales of their products and services as well as to help them design, and launch new offerings.

Ani also specializes in helping financial advisors grow and manage a thriving practice. She delivers actionable guidance in the areas of business strategy, marketing, business development, and client development. Financial advisors across the United States have participated in practice management programs created by her firm. She has contributed to financial publications including Advisor Perspectives as well as Barron’s on topics such as ways to boost AUM growth through personalization. She was the contributing editor to Chasing Positivity, a publication for financial advisors to deepen client connectivity, authored by David Richman and Robert Brooks, Ph.D.

Prior to the founding of Excella, Ani was a vice president with Fidelity Investments. While at Fidelity, she held various marketing and product development positions in Fidelity Management & Research and Fidelity Personal Investments, as well as with the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, a donor-advised fund and public charity.  During her nine-year tenure she developed investment communications programs for institutional clients, created online tools and programs in the financial planning arena, and launched strategic acquisition programs targeting ultra-high-net-worth investors. She also spearheaded several initiatives that received national acclaim from Barron’s, Broker Monitor, and syndicated financial columnist Chuck Jaffe.

Ani earned a Masters in Business Administration degree with honors from Columbia University and is a graduate of Boston College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree cum laude.
